Dan's Nicollet Car Wash has been a fixture on Nicollet Avenue since the 1960's.  My husband Alberto and I purchased the business in 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic took the world by storm.  In the last few years, the State of Minnesota has enacted several laws that essentially cost small businesses money.  This, with inflation, has pushed us to increase prices after five-plus years of ownership.

Additionally, when our own federal government nearly obliterated us in the recent  Operation Metro Surge and traumatized our workforce, we seriously considered flipping to an express model like so many other car washes have done.  Doing this greatly reduces labor costs in an industry where labor accounts for 60% of revenue.  We are not there yet.  We want to employ people.  We love our employees.  So we are still standing, better than we were before, as the song goes, and are ready to clean your dirty cars!
